Meetings are held the last Tuesday of each month in Fletcher Hall, at St. John Center, at 6:00p.m. Mass is held, and meetings follow. To learn more contact Rebecca Cargile, 664-0340 x 355. No reservations are necessary, and all are welcome!
Bored at Mass? Don’t “get anything” out of it? Sound familiar? Quotations and allusions to Scriptural passages are found throughout the liturgy of the Mass. The book “Worthy is the Lamb” by Thomas Nash will walk you through this Scriptural background and transform your understanding of and participation in the Mass. A class on this book will be offered in the evenings for men starting Sunday, September 13, from 6:30-8:30 at Immaculate Conception-NLR in the former Clergy Office. The book may be difficult to locate but don’t let that deter you from inquiring. Email David Kraft at djkraft2@hotmail.com or call 352-2285 for more details.
POST-ABORTION SUPPORT GROUP: Do you feel alone, hurting or unforgiven from a past abortion? The Respect Life Office, through Project Rachel, is starting a support group, beginning the third week in September. The spiritual journey lasts 11 weeks, with small groups of 6-8. Groups will be formed in Little Rock, Rogers/Springdale and Hot Springs areas. All names and meeting places are strictly confidential. For details call 501- 664-0340, ext. 357 by September 14.
Compassionate Companions: A ministry of consolation is being offered by Immaculate Conception Catholic Church beginning Saturday, August 15, from 10 to 11:15 am in Immaculata Hall. This ministry offers a series of sessions designed to bring healing, comfort and support for those who have lost loved ones. The sessions are open to anyone who is grieving. Our goal is to create a pathway of deeper connection that will ensure that no member of our faith community grieves alone. Contact Deacon Butch King at 501-231-4013 or Debbi King at 231-4193 for more information.
